Growing and Benefits of the Midyim Berries

Midyim Berry

Midyim berry grows as a small shrub with little white flowers and edible berries. The Midyim berry (Austromyrtus dulcis) is easy to grow and very hardy once established. It requires regular watering during the initial stages of growth and benefits from mulching to help retain moisture.  

Berries are pea-size and vary in colour from pale pink to deep purple. When ripe, they have a unique and delicious combination of sweetness and tartness to enjoy straight from the bush or perfect for fruit salads, smoothies and baking. 

Healthwise, these berries are full of antioxidants and vitamin C which help reduce inflammation, boost immune function and protect against chronic diseases. Antioxidants also reduce signs of ageing and promote a youthful glow. 

Nurture now in a sunny spot with well-drained soil and then reap the benefits of this berry-nice beauty!
