Get ready to roll, walk, or dance your way through a vibrant celebration of inclusion at this year’s Moreton Bay All Abilities Colour Run.
Taking place on Saturday, 8 November, the much-loved community event, hosted by LST Support Services and supported by Strength Potential, is all about celebrating people of all abilities in a fun, family-friendly environment.
Co-Founder and Director of LST Support Services, Taylor Campbell, said the event was designed to be far more than a fun run.
“It’s not just a fun run, it’s a festival of inclusion,” Taylor said. “With rides, stalls, entertainment, and community partners, it’s designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone and it’s all completely free.”
Event Details and Community Focus
Participants are encouraged to wear white and choose from different track lengths to make the most of the coloured powder stations. Beyond the track, the event will be brought to life with five themed activity zones to suit all ages and abilities.
The Fun Zone will feature giant darts, a giant footy toss, a 15-metre inflatable obstacle course, slime bays, an inflatable foam pit, and the much-anticipated colour stations. For families, the Mums and Bubs Zone offers a mini-inflatable jumping castle, bubble house, sensory play spaces, and a dedicated breastfeeding area.
For anyone needing a break, the Quiet Zone provides a calm space with beanbags, while the Food Zone will satisfy appetites with a sausage sizzle, coffee, slushies, and an ice cream van. Rounding out the festival is the Provider Zone, with 25 service providers on hand to showcase inclusive services available in the community.
Taylor said the Colour Run has grown into an annual highlight for the region, with a strong focus on local connection.
“The purpose of this event is to create an inclusive community tradition that celebrates small businesses and encourages everyone to support local,” Taylor said.
“At LST, we love collaborating with local businesses and exploring new opportunities for our buddies, while encouraging other businesses to think about how they can be more inclusive. It’s all about education, connection, and creating more impact for our NDIS communities.”
