2. Live Music at The Sands Social
Head to The Sands Social on Father’s Day to enjoy free live entertainment and a great meal or a few drinks! Greg Tschernez will keep the crowd entertained with his powerful voice, massive repertoire, and witty sense of humour. It’s a fantastic way to spend the afternoon with Dad.

3. Father’s Day at The Full Moon Hotel
At The Full Moon Hotel, Dad is catered for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, giving you heaps of options to plan a special meal around other activities. If Dad likes live music, The Brothers Ham are live on stage from 2pm. There will also be members giveaways, and, of course, a play area to keep the kids entertained.

4. Enjoy a hearty roast at Brighton Hotel
What dad doesn’t enjoy a full roast dinner. Or even better – a 700g bone-in rib eye! That’s what’s on offer for lunch and dinner at Brighton Hotel, along with pirate-themed family fun, balloon twisting, and an animal farm.
And if Dad is an early riser, he’ll love the Father’s Day Breakfast Buffet for $43 per person, or $18 for kids aged 6-12 years, available until 10am.
5. Get The King’s Plate at The Bracken Ridge Tavern
If Dad is king in your house, this is the perfect meal for him! Available for just $65, this massive feast features a Nolan’s 250g Rump Steak, artisan smoked cheese Kransky, a quarter rack of pork ribs, BBQ chicken wings, chips, coleslaw and his choice of sauce!
If all that seem a bit rich for Dad, don’t worry, all his regular Bracken Ridge Tavern menu favourites are available too.
6. Run Forrest, run… to Bubba Gump Shrimp!

There’s fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, shrimp jambalaya, coconut shrimp, shrimp chowder… but if shrimp isn’t to everyone’s taste, their menu include beef, chicken, and kids meals, too.

10. Sandgate – Shorncliffe Walk or Cycle

This scenic 6km bayside walk/ride along Sandgate foreshore takes you past beautiful Victorian villas, waterfront picnic spots, and playgrounds, en route to the historical jetty at Shorncliffe.
It will take you around 1-1.5hrs (walk or cycle) and is a perfect day out for active dads and adventure-loving kids who enjoy a bit of exercise combined with breathtaking scenery. The trail offers plenty of spots to stop and take photos or simply enjoy the view.
11. Mini golf at Golf Central
The Tiny Travellers Mini Golf course is designed with every level of player in mind, making it perfect for players of all ages. The whole family can travel the world as they navigate the 18 destination-themed holes.

12. Fish and Chips at Sandgate-Brighton Foreshore

Nothing beats the simple joy of fish and chips by the water! Grab yourself some fish and chips from Sandgate Fishmongers, Doug’s Seafood Café or Flinders Seafood & Bar and make your way down to the Sandgate-Brighton Foreshore. This is a great place to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the sound of gentle waves during the day, and it’s even better come sunset.

13. Wood Smoke & Whisky
For over 18s only, this is a gourmet delight for the discerning father.
