To Brisbane CBD: Around 30km north the CBD, it takes around 30 minutes to drive via the M1 Motorway. Keep in mind, traffic can get really bad during peak hour around Boondall and Nundah so plan ahead if you need to travel in these times.

To the Sunshine Coast: While you have your own beach right here in Brighton, if you love the surf or you just want a short weekend getaway, the Sunshine Coast is approximately 90km north of Brighton. The drive along the Bruce Highway takes about an hour in good traffic.

Public Transport

Brighton is well-connected by public transport, serviced by several bus routes and nearby train stations that make commuting straightforward:

  • Buses: The best way to get from Brisbane to Brighton is with the 310 bus – the trip takes around 50 minutes, in good traffic.
  • Train: If you want to get the train, you’ll get off at Sandgate Station, transfer to Sandgate Bus Station (about 5mins walk) and then get a bus to Brighton from there.
