Deagon is limited for services within the suburb itself, but there’s no shortage of options nearby. In the summer months, Deagon typically experiences daytime highs around 28°C. The evenings cool off to a comfortable 22°C, so it’s perfect weather for grabbing some fish and chips and taking a walk by the water.

Winter in Deagon is mild, with daytime temperatures averaging 20°C. This is the ideal season for exploring the local parks. Nighttime temperatures can dip to about 10°C, providing a crisp and refreshing evening atmosphere.

Getting There and Around

It’s easy to travel to and around Deagon thanks to the suburb being relatively close to Brisbane CBD, major roads (including Deagon Deviation) and other transport routes.

To Brisbane CBD: Around 20km northeast of Brisbane’s city centre, it’s an easy commute to the CBD. A typical drive takes around 25-30 minutes via Sandgate Road or the Gateway Motorway, though it’s wise to allow extra time during peak hours. Traffic on the motorway, in particular, can get really heavy from Nundah to North Lakes after 3pm (or from lunch on Fridays).

To the Sunshine Coast: For beach lovers and weekend adventurers, the Sunshine Coast is about 90km north of Deagon. The drive along the Bruce Highway takes just over an hour in good traffic, which makes it a perfect day trip destination.
