Attention young readers! Local 4017 author Annaleise Byrd has some exciting news to share that’s sure to entertain and delight book lovers of all ages.
“I have two new books launching,” she said. “The first, Down The Plot Hole, is a sequel to my first humorous adventure, Losing The Plot, and the other is my debut picture book, You Are Not A Pup!”
Annaleise’s love of writing began as a teen and although she’s enjoyed a variety of writing pursuits over the years, once she started writing kid’s books in 2017, she never looked back.
Her first published book, Losing The Plot, released in 2024, is a fast-paced tale that has received great reviews.
“Kids really enjoy the humorous narration and cliffhanger chapter endings,” Annaleise said. “My new sequel, Down The Plot Hole, features the same two main characters in a fun-filled fractured fairy-tale adventure.”
Books to Spark a Love of Reading
Her second new release, You Are Not A Pup!, is a read-aloud book for ages 3+.
“It’s essentially about a group of animals having a massive argument,” Annaleise said. “But, beneath all the silliness, is the fact that babies of many different animal species are called pups.”
Both new releases are sure to make a great addition to any family bookshelf and engage readers both young and old.
“I believe we need to do all we can to help kids become voracious, lifelong readers,” Annaleise said. “If my books can give kids a positive and fun reading experience, then I’m a very happy author.”
