Get ready for a wild encounter these school holidays as Ranger Stacey returns for two shows!
Families are in for a treat, with an unforgettable Wildlife Safari at the Sands Bowls on Friday, 11 April. The day promises up-close experiences with fascinating native Australian wildlife, hosted by none other than Ranger Stacey and the D’Aguilar Wildlife team.
Attendees will have the chance to meet incredible creatures such as snakes, lizards, crocodiles, gliders and even a pelican!
Learn About Australian Animals in a Fun and Engaging Setting
According to D’Aguilar Wildlife Director Ben Bawden, “We have the largest diversity of any mobile wildlife exhibitor in Queensland and being able to share stories about so many species really makes me proud.”
It’s both an educational and entertaining experience, allowing both kids and adults to learn about Australian animals in a fun and engaging setting.
The day is guaranteed to be a favourite for kids of all ages, with them having the chance to learn about the unique aspects of animals, touch a reptile for the first time, or see their favourite species up close.
Ben said there were two creatures that had been proven to be crowd favourites at the show.
“It’s always a dead heat between crocodiles and koalas, both are such unique Aussie species, and the chance to see both up close is a really special experience,” he said. “It’s like the extremes of cute and cuddly or traditionally scary animals ignite the children’s curiosity.”
In addition to the wildlife demonstration, attendees will have the opportunity to snap a photo with Ranger Stacey and their favourite animal.
Ranger Stacey said that she “had the privilege of educating and entertaining generations of children about the natural environment, including all of the fascinating and unique animals that call Australia home.”
With two shows happening throughout the day, there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to enjoy the event. The first show is from 10am to 11am, with doors opening at 9.30am. The second show will be from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, with doors opening at 12pm.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity for the whole family to experience Australian wildlife up close!
