As the midpoint of 2025 approaches and cooler temperatures set in, it’s the perfect moment to slow down, take a breath, and reflect. It’s time to consider a mid-year reset.

Were you off to the races in January – setting unrealistic fitness and financial goals that have gone by the wayside? Have you added more to your to-do list than you’ve managed to check off? The following tips will help you take stock of what’s working, what’s not and where you need to shift your energy as you enter the second half of the year.

Practical Tips for Your Mid-Year Refresh

One of the easiest ways to reset is with a home refresh, as it’s often said that a clear space leads to a clear mind. Open the windows, clear out your closets, swap out seasonal decor and do a deep clean. This is also a great time to do a little walk through your home, both inside and out, and note any touch-ups or repairs that need doing. Decluttering and caring for your space allows for new energy to enter your home and your mind.

Mid-year is also an excellent time for a financial check-in. Has your lifestyle changed or have your priorities shifted over the last six months? Do you have an exciting trip or home reno on the horizon that requires a new savings strategy? Understanding and tweaking your finances now will mean less stress and feeling more in control as you round out the year.

Of course, the most important check-in you can do is on your wellbeing. Be really honest with yourself – how are you feeling physically, emotionally and mentally? What brings you joy, and what depletes your energy? Do you need to book an overdue health check, set aside more time for exercise and getting outdoors, or set stricter boundaries for screen time and after-hours work? If you can tune in to where you’re at with your health, then you’re already on the right path to making positive changes.

A mid-year reset isn’t about feeling deflated about getting off track, it’s about making adjustments that make sense for where you are at right now. So go ahead, update that vision board – after all, it’s never too late to hit the refresh button!
