Looking for a relaxed and creative way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with friends or that special someone?

Arthouse Northside in Deagon is hosting a Galentines Day Drawing session where both gals, and guys, are welcome.

Hosted by artist Leah Gordon, this untutored session encourages connection through creativity.

“We will be doing some fun drawing activities together, including sketching each other and our afternoon treats – still life drawing with a twist,” Leah said. “It’s a day about friendship and getting together on what is traditionally a day about love – a love of art perhaps?”

Leah co-owns and manages Arthouse Northside with her husband, Fraser, and said she was passionate about creating opportunities for people to make art together.

“Often artists work alone and having the opportunity to create together with friends is limited,” she said. “This event was actually inspired by how much my friends and I love to have art dates together to chat and create, so we thought it might be a good idea to turn it into something fun at Arthouse Northside.”

No experience is required for this 18+ event and all materials are provided, though guests are welcome to bring their own supplies and an apron if they wish. Nibbles and non-alcoholic drinks are included.
