Dust off your boots and yeehaw your way into Valentine’s Day with the much-anticipated return of the B&S Ball at The Sands Bowlo.
Phoebe Doherty, Assistant Marketing Manager for The Sands and The Sands Bowlo, said last year’s inaugural event was such a hit that the team is bringing back the crowd-favourite country theme.
Dress Codes, Tickets and Event Details
“We will have a mechanical bull and a sausage sizzle,” she said. “We also have Australian duo Route 33 performing to keep the country vibes strong.”
Band members Trent McArdle and Jock Barnes said they were looking forward to bringing their infectious energy to Sandgate.
“We circled it on the calendar as soon as it was booked,” Trent said. “We are pumped to get to play this one – it’s going to be a very fun gig!”
Phoebe said there would be a mix of country and popular songs to keep the dance floor pumping.
“We will also have playful activities to break the ice, and plenty of surprises throughout the night,” she said.
Phoebe explained that while the event’s name may imply that the ball is for singles only, everyone over 30 is welcome.
“B&S stands for Bachelors and Spinsters,” she said. “However, guests are strongly encouraged to dress according to their relationship status to make it more fun.”
Guests are requested to wear red if taken, green if they are single, and yellow if they sit somewhere in between.
Tickets start at $35. Get your tickets here.
