Couples planning their big day will have the chance to connect with leading wedding professionals when the Queensland Brides Wedding Expo returns to Brisbane City Hall this month.
Hosted by Queensland Brides, the state’s leading bridal magazine since 1984, the curated one-day event will be held on Sunday, 16 August, bringing together handpicked local vendors specialising in venues, photography, florals, styling, catering and more.
Queensland Brides publisher and editor-in-chief Nikki Ernst said Brisbane City Hall carried so much romance and history that couples arrived already feeling inspired.
“We’ve designed the day to match that energy: elevated, personal, and a world away from your typical wedding expo,” Nikki said.
She said the magazine’s long-standing heritage meant the expo was built on decades of industry knowledge and trusted connections.
“The quality of our exhibitor mix is something we’re very proud of,” she said. “From photographers and florists to jewellers and celebrants, every vendor at the Queensland Brides Wedding Expo is picked for what they bring to couples. It makes for a very different experience to your typical wedding expo.”
Bridal Runway, Expert Advice and Exclusive Prizes
A highlight of the event is the bridal runway, featuring bridal and groomswear fashion in a choreographed production by Pam Tamblyn of Tamblyn Model Management, with music by Luxe Entertainment and stage design by The Blossom Tree.
“The bridal runway is something no other Brisbane wedding expo offers at this level,” Nikki said. “Having Pam Tamblyn choreograph the show, with a full production team behind it, means couples are seeing fashion presented the way it’s meant to be seen – how a gown actually moves and wears, not just how it looks on a hanger.
“And after the parade, couples have the chance to meet the designers and boutiques in person, which makes the whole experience so much more meaningful.”
Visitors can also attend an expert styling and planning session featuring some of Queensland’s leading wedding stylists and planners, while a prize draw following the midday fashion parade offers attendees the chance to win prizes to put towards their wedding.
“This is our final show for 2026, so for any couple getting married in the next 12 to 18 months, it’s a genuine opportunity to get ahead of their planning in one beautiful afternoon,” Nikki said.
