The winners of the Sandgate Small Business Awards have been announced, highlighting the benefits of shopping local.

State Member for Sandgate, Bisma Asif, said the awards were created to recognise the hard work of businesses across eight suburbs.

“Our electorate is home to thousands of small businesses that contribute to our local economy, create jobs, and help make our community a vibrant and thriving place to live,” she said.

Owners of Top 1 Nails, Ben and Jen, took home first place for Trades and Services. Ben said they were thrilled with the win.

“We sincerely thank our valued customers and the Sandgate community for their continued support and trust over the past decade,” Ben said.
